Continuing and Distance Education

Continuing Education

Continuing education are courses that let you develop your knowledge and skills in a specific area. They are offered by local school boards, colleges and universities. If you already have a university degree or college diploma, you may take continuing education courses to upgrade your skills.

Distance Education

Distance education is taking a course or a degree program on the internet or by mail. Sometimes the classes are called correspondence courses, meaning that you are not taking the courses in a classroom setting.

Many accredited Canadian universities and colleges offer distance education. Most people who take these courses are working full-time and are trying to upgrade their skills or make a career change.
