The TR Leger School of Adult, Alternative and Continuing Education

The TR Leger School of Adult, Alternative and Continuing Education in Cornwall offers Language Instruction for Newcomers to Canada (LINC) classes for those who are landed immigrants or refugees over the age of 18 years old. Students will be taught to speak, write, listen and read English well. This program is free of charge, and those who are eligible may receive transportation assistance and free on-site childminding services (for children between the ages of 6 months to 6 years). Although classes typically start in September, students can begin any time as there is a continuous intake policy in place.

La Cité – French Language Training for Newcomers

Intended for newcomers, CLIC is a language program for learning French. After a language assessment carried out by an accredited center, you will be placed in a group with other learners of the same level. You can choose from several course schedule options, full-time or part-time, during the day or in the evening.
